the front is getting close, the fixed mounts are wide enough for a 2.5" spring if a later upgrade is desired. spacers will be used to accomadate the current springs.

never mind the front shackles, they are the only complete set i have laying around so a trip down to twisted for some new dog bones is in order tomorrow.

Doesn't look like much has changed because it really hasn't except making a little more room for the military wrap.

I've got 2 spare thirds, and i pulled the carrier out of the one that i want to use so the back lash is way off.

I'll have to look around to find tolerances, but i don't have a dial gauge to check it.

General tech - Gas tank venting

part of the whole evap system. much like a large vacuum leak. causes cel's and rough idle at times. some people cant get there vehicle started after refueling due to crappy seal on gas cap.

but id do what mr. wander suggests and leave it loose. if its better then invest in a vented cap. pressure out would kinda be a scary deal.

was it a warm hot day? barely driven? or long drives like its actually pressurizing your tank?

Other Wheeling Rigs - Unbelieveable. I have a carburator

I saw this thing a few times,. old trucks are cool.
4bbl carb should get better mileage, depending on the carb(re;not a Holley)it runs on the front barrels until you step into it, then the back barrels open. Fronts are smaller than the 2bbl so the venuri works better at low rpms=better mileage. This is if you can keep your foot out of it listening to the music a V8 makes. When i was a kid we had its cousin, 73 Charger that was the same glorious green with a white vinyl top.
